Mandi Kaye @ Never Too Fond of Books

Louisa May Alcott may as well have been writing about me when she wrote "She is too fond of books and it has turned her brain!" But I am a staunch believer that there is no such thing.

The Lost Gate (MitherMages, #1) - Orson Scott Card, Stefan Rudnicki, Emily Janice Card I found this book to be quite a departure from other books I've read by Orson Scott Card. The general storyline was interesting, and I'm curious about what will happen in the next book, but the writing and some of the descriptions were really distracting. There were a lot of parts that were about sex or sexual things and really added nothing to character development or plot. They seemed odd and out of place - almost as if he were writing with a directive to "sex things up". It was disappointing, to say the least.
