Mandi Kaye @ Never Too Fond of Books

Louisa May Alcott may as well have been writing about me when she wrote "She is too fond of books and it has turned her brain!" But I am a staunch believer that there is no such thing.

Moonstone - Marilee Brothers Reviewed at http://www.mandikayereads.com/archives/1035 (3/3/12)While this one had a shaky start, I genuinely enjoyed it. The writing left a lot to be desired – especially at first – but as the book continued it was more polished and each character fit into their voice a little bit more. There were parts to it that didn’t really go – the whole character of Trilby was useless. She needed to be fleshed out and actually serve a purpose in the story, but she didn’t. She was filler – annoying filler at that. With that being said, I enjoyed the mystery and I look forward to learning more about this prophecy and Allie’s new abilities.
